Dear friends,
You’ve probably heard about the EU’s new regulation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It’s a new set of laws aimed at enhancing the protection of EU citizens’ personal data and increasing the obligations of organizations to deal with that data in transparent and secure ways. The GDPR applies to EU-based organizations that control or process data of EU citizens.
Scripture Union Croatia and SEND International Croatia branch office are working at ensuring our practices are GDPR-compliant. Equally important to us is helping you, our DPB (SU and SEND Croatia) and Leadership Lab International community.
We are working to stay fully transparent with the data we collect in order to help serve you as a member of our community, school, church, organization, company we contract with or partner in services that DPB (SU) or SEND Croatia provides.
Personal data
All the personal data which we collect is in our CRM system. We only have personal data which is necessary for the work we are doing. This means that we have address details of members, registrations for newsletters and programs (Camp on Wheels, Osmica, Residential Camps, Training and School in Nature), guest rentals, companies we contract with and partners in services rendered. We also have the information of the bank account number in our system, if we know that number.
We do not have special personal information in our CRM unnecessary to programs, materials or services we provide. We record personal data of our debtors and creditors, this data is in our financial system. We also have recorded the personal data of people who support us as donors.
We declare that we do not record any data that is not immediately necessary for the execution of the work we are doing or for our mission. We never sell data collected to others.
Privacy rights
The GDPR has a number of rights. The ‘right to forget’ and the ‘right to data portability’ are new rights. If someone wants to make use of one of the rights according to GDPR, it is convenient to do so by sending us an email [email protected]
